This betting business would leave a man broke. Not to worry though because after Arsenal ruined my weekend last Saturday, my lost money is going to come back this weekend and it's going to bring friends.
The 28/1 four-fold last week was a bit ambitious so this time round I'm going for a 8/1 treble. The bets come from two Premier League matches and the All Ireland semi-final between Mayo and Tyrone.
Hull v Norwich - both teams to score at 3/4
The Premier League matches are tough to call this weekend so I'm playing it safe with a BTTS gimme. Norwich have a plethora of strikers to choose from and should be able to get at least one goal away to Hull; while despite offering little in attack against Chelsea last Sunday, the Tigers are well capable of getting off the mark at home to the Canaries.
Mayo v Tyrone - Mayo -5 at 11/8
Mayo will beat Tyrone on Sunday, and they will win it well. I have read or heard nothing in the build-up to make me think differently. Tyrone produced their best performance of the year against Monaghan the last day out but it was still well short of what they'll need to do to overcome the Connacht champions. If I was betting on this match alone I would go Mayo -6 at 21/10 but seeing as it's a treble I won't get too greedy.
Manchester United v Chelsea - Robin Van Persie to score any time at 6/5
The odds on RVP to score any time are pretty short but with good reason. He has started this season as he left off with four goals in his first two games and I expect much of the same on Monday night. While United may not win the game, I think it promises plenty of goals and the Dutchman will most likely be amongst them.
