In today's Observer you'll find an interview with Irish surfer Easkey Britton, where she discusses her trip with French film-maker Marion Poizeau to Iran's southeast coast to make a film about a woman's experiences surfing the country. Britton actually wrote a firsthand travelogue for Surfgirl about her time in Iran back in the summer, where she discusses in depth the surfing hijab she wore and the hunt for waves outside the town of Chabahar. It's definitely worth a read. You'll find some photos from the trip below.
