Ronan John Ross O'Gara's musings on holiday-making and volcanos are only interesting if you read them out loud with a fake, comedic Cork accent, like John Spillane's or the ones in the Walworth Farce.
The latest from his diary
It’s unbelievable what’s been happening with the volcano ash and the widespread disruption to flights - I know the Munster management team are looking into alternative travel arrangements. A lot of thought and work goes into ensuring that the Munster players are looked after and have nothing to worry in the run-up to the big games. I love booking our family holiday and researching it but it’s a whole different ball game when you’re trying to sort flights and transfers for a whole squad and the wider team. Professional rugby players have their hands held quite a bit when it comes to stuff like travel - all we have to do is turn up at the airport, and the rest is taken care of. Fair play to all the guys in the back room and management team who sweat over the logistics and things like that - it’s a mammoth job.
