After an exceptional promotional debut in Dublin, Dubliner Patrick Holohan has landed another fight in the UFC.
The undefeated Irish mixed martial artist will be looking to extend his 10-0-1 record when he takes on Louis Gaudinot at Fight Night 54 in Halifax, Canada on October 4. Andrew McGahon broke the story on Twitter this morning. John Kavanagh confirmed the news.

The Hooligan got the Irish off to a winning start at UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin, when he quickly dispatched of Josh Sampo in the opening bout of the prelims. Holohan capitalised on his considerable reach advantage to to outstrike the American and eventually take the fight to the mat where he sunk in a rear-naked choke to earn the submission victory.
His opponent, Gaudinot is ranked 12th in the UFC flyweight division and enters the bout off a no contest against Phil Harris at the London event in March. Gaudinot won the bout via guillotine choke, which ultimately cost Harris his job in the promotion, but the result was overturned after the American tested positive for a banned diuretic in a post-fight drug test.
Holohan is unlikely to have coach John Kavanagh in his corner for the Gaudinot bout as the event falls on the same day as UFC Fight Night 54 in Sweden, which is headlined by SBG fighter Gunnar Nelson and also features Dubliner Cathal Pendred.
