Paddy Power say that they've been hit for over €1 million following the win of a fourfold selection of horses all with links to the great gambler Barney Curley. That's the same Barney Curley who pulled of the Yellow Sam betting coup in 1975.
The races which the horses were involved in were spread across three tracks, Lingfield, Catterick and Kempton. Eye of the Tiger won the 1.30 at Linfield with Seven Summits following up just 10 minutes later at Catterick. Indus Valley then won the 4.25 at Kempton . The final leg of the gamble was Low Key in the 6.25 at Kempton.
According to bookie, John Mulholland, the odds on the fourfold was 9000-1 last night with it coming into 16-1 at the starting prices once numerous bettors got behind the horses.

In all it is estimated that the gamble has cost the betting industry £2 million.
A spokesperson for Paddy Power called it a "weapons grade coup".
