With UFC Fight Night Boston rapidly approaching, we were fortunate enough to have a chat with one of the Irish MMA stars appearing on the card at TD Garden on January 18th.
Paddy Holohan was victorious the last time he fought on a UFC card with Conor McGregor in the main event, at UFC Fight Night Dublin back in July 2014, but after suffering his first professional defeat in October, the man known as "The Hooligan" will be looking to bounce back with a win and make a move up the rankings in the UFC's bantamweight division.
I'm excited to show people that just because you fall down, it doesn't mean you're beaten. When you get back up and keep going, then there's no beating you.
Along with his preparation for the upcoming Boston event, dealing with eejits on Facebook and Twitter, and a possible future in coaching and cornering, Paddy Holohan admitted he shares Conor McGregor's view that the Irish are set to take over the MMA scene as he said:
Conor turns up with a phone number and a sleeping bag, and suddenly the door gets blown off the hinges and the place is infested with Irish!
