14.48 Satirical artist for Gazzetta dello Sport Valerio Marini has offered his own artistic rendering of the tragedy. Not sure if this is a better or worse than the thousands of bad 'he should have run for it' jokes on Twitter.

11.32 Police have briefed media outside Pistorius's home at Silverwoods Estate that they're interviewing neighbours, some of whom have claimed to hear 'screaming and shouting.'
Also CityPress have published the first photo we've seen of Pistorius today:
11.20 Pistorius may have lived in one of the safest estates in South Africa but that's not to say he was taking his domestic security lightly. According to an August 2012 Daily Mail article, OP's house included the following arsenal:
- a bedside revolver
- a machine gun by his window
- a baseball bat and a cricket bat behind his bedroom door
- a 'pigfat mallet' next to it.

Oscar's father has told SABC radio that Blade Runner is sad about his girlfriend's death.
“I don’t know nothing. It will be extremely obnoxious and rude to speculate. I don’t know the facts,” Henke Pistorius told SABC radio news. “If anyone makes a statement, it will have to be Oscar. He’s sad at the moment.”
Early reports from Radio 702 claimed that the shooting was accidental. Beeld.com is reporting that Steenkamp was shot at Pistorious' house around 4am this morning. It was first reported that Pistorius thought she was an intruder and she was shot 'four times" with shots to the head and chest. A 9mm pistol was found at the scene of the crime. Steenkamp tweeted this time yesterday asking about her followers' Valentine's Day plans.
What do you have up your sleeve for your love tomorrow??? #getexcited #ValentinesDay
