Newly crowned UFC bantamweight title holder TJ Dillashaw pulled off the shock of the weekend after beating the Renan Barao by TKO, and winning the performance of the night award.
Dillashaw has come a long way from the arm flailing figure we saw in The Ultimate Fighter House back in 2011; how times have changed. Barao's trainer, Andre Pederneiras, told 'MMA Fighting' that Dillashaw owes his star pupil an immediate rematch in Brazil – if he's "man enough" to do it.
We're asking for an immediate rematch. It's fair, and we're looking a way to do it. It can't happen in less than five or six months, but I think that's how long T.J. is going to be out. Everybody wants to see another fight between them, since it was the fight of the night. The ideal would be bringing this fight to Brazil. There's going to be a big event here in Brazil, apparently in October in Rio de Janeiro. Let's see if these guys are man enough to fight Barao in his house.
Dillashaw knocked the Brazilian down in the very first round, Dillashaw maintained heavy pressure and finally finished him in the 5th.
