Some positive news for racing fans here, as it has emerged that Michael Schumacher is "out of danger" and will continue his rehabilitation at a specialised clinic.
Schumacher, 45, was placed in a medically induced coma back in January after he suffered a severe head injury while skiing in the French Alps in late December 2013, but now it appears as though his situation is improving.
The reports of a recovery first appeared in German newspaper 'Bunte', which specialises in celebrity news, on Friday as they detailed how the former Ferrari driver had been moved from intensive care to a rehab specialisation clinic, and these reports have today been confirmed by Schumacher's spokeswoman. Also explained by 'Bunte' is that while Schumacher is showing positive signs, a full recovery remains unlikely.
His family have thanked those who offered messages of support and encouragement, and this news will no doubt be well received by those who feared the worst for one of the icons of Formula 1 racing.
