He knows what he's doing, does Eamon Dunphy. It wouldn't surprise me if Eamo had a few bob on Barcelona to win the Clasico last night when he made his comments about the end of Barcelona and Messi on RTE's Champions League coverage last Wednesday.

Of Messi, he said:
Messi is not the Messi of memory. That genius needs energy and inspiration, and gave energy and inspirations to everybody around him. But he was always linking up with Iniesta and Xavi. And that's now going to be a memory.
Needless to say, a few days later, Messi gave us one of the greatest moments of his entire career, scoring his second goal of the game in a 3-2 Clasico win at the Bernabeau.
Nice work Eamo. The football community needed this. Thanks for your help.
Needless to say, people were quick to take to social media to credit Eamo for Messi's sudden resurgence. (A resurgence despite the fact he has nearly 50 goals this season!)
I guess Eamon Dunphy's words really put a pep in Lionel Messi's step ⚽️
