Last Night Logan Couture of the San Jose Shark was the unlucky player deemed not worthy of selection by his peers in the all-star draft. Left to sweat it out for the duration of the draft Couture was finally put out of his misery when Team Chara selected Jamie Benn,leaving Couture as the only remaining player.

As I said yesterday, how great would it be if the FA did the same thing for the community shield? Imagine team Evra versus team Suarez. Would Suarez dare draft John Terry? would Evra take any Liverpool player? It would certainly make the dull and meaningless curtain raiser at least watchable.
