On Friday night in Florida, a somewhat minor but still extraordinary thing happened in a high school football game in Florida. South Plantation High were soundly beating their opponents, and so with 1:40 left in the game, they decided to sub in back-up quarterback Erin Dimeglio. She took two snaps, and in doing so became the first female to ever play quarterback in the history of Florida high school football. Two small snaps for Erin Demeglio, one giant leap for girls for playing American football.
