This is wonderful. Instead of a conventional Senna tribute with recent contributions from his contemporaries, McLaren have based theirs around the Brazilian's famous final qualifying lap for the 1988 Monaco Grand Prix.
It's beautifully shot, and insightful quotes from the man himself provide the narration.
Not only is it an excellent homage to Senna, the video is as good an introduction as any for fans too young to have seen him in action.
Theirs wasn't the only Ayrton Senna tribute done in an unexpected fashion. The starting XI of Senna's beloved Corinthians each carried a replica of his still-recognisable racing helmet as they walked onto the pitch last night for their game against Nacional in the Copa do Brasil.
