Roscommon and Mayo have never played each other in a Championship game outside Connacht. That changes on Sunday.
In 57 previous Championship encounters, all but one of them have come in the Connacht Championship. The teams met once in the Qualifiers, in 2002.
Sunday's All-Ireland quarter-final in Croke Park means tickets have been at a premium in both counties. With Galway and Kerry as part of Sunday's double-bill, fans of both Mayo and Roscommon have had a tough time getting tickets.
Some have had to even cross the border into rival territory, but few had a more memorable experience that Roscommon fan Jarlath Mannion. On Saturday evening, his son John revealed more of the most GAA stories you will ever read.
If you ever wonder about the camaraderie of the GAA read this story about my father & a Mayo fan #GAA #mayogaa #rosgaa pic.twitter.com/DEqEfoqfk6

It has it all! Some miracle work by An Post, a card from Knock and an extra little bit of money as a thank you.
Lets hope Jarlath and his unnamed Mayo friend bump into each other in Croke Park.
