The 2024 Masters is upon us and it is sure to be an enthralling weekend of golf. All eyes will be on the first major of the year and as ever the competition is of the highest quality. Here's some outsider Masters tips for anyone looking for a dark horse candidate to wear the green jacket this weekend.
Jon Rahm will look to defend his title but Irish hopefuls Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy will travel to Augusta with their own hopes, McIlroy still looking for that fabled career Grand Slam. The 34 year-old had a strong start to the season defending the Dubai Desert Classic before some patchy form. However, in recent weeks McIlroy has been steadily improving and he will hope this will all culminate in his first green jacket on his 16th Masters appearance.
Ahead of this years Masters we've picked out our best outsider picks for this years tournament. Taking a look at Ladbrokes odds for every player in our opinion these players are some of the best each-way bets for this weekend. The list contains guys that have been there and done it as well as some up and comers looking to write their name into history. All of these players are at least 20/1 to win.

Sahith Teegala - 30/1
World Ranking: 15th
Highest Masters Finish: 9th 2023
Teegala was also one of our picks for last years tournament and he did not disappoint finishing 9th on -5 in a really solid weekend of golf. He's had an impressive 12 months since then winning his first tournament on the PGA Tour carding a -21 to win the Fortinet Championship back in September. He kicked off 2024 with 2nd place at The Sentry and has 3 top 10 finishes in his last 5 PGA Tour events. The 26 year-old will certainly be buoyed by last year's performance at Augusta and has the form to go with it.
Wyndham Clark - 22/1
World Ranking: 4th
Highest Masters Finish: Never Competed
To say it has been a breakout year for Wyndham Clark is a bit of an understatement. In June, Clark became the first man in 54 years to win the US Open while having not appeared at that years Masters. Previous to that victory the Denver native had a fairly unremarkable major record with his best efforts at the 2021 PGA Championship and at The Open 2022 where he finished 75th and 76th respectively. Since winning a first major Clark has been in red hot form appearing at the Ryder Cup in Rome and won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am and climbing to 4th in the world rankings. Although he's making his first appearance this weekend, Clark has every opportunity to be the first rookie the win at Augusta since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979.
Brian Harman - 45/1
World Ranking: 8th
Highest Masters Finish: Tied 12th 2021
Another man who's gone from relative obscurity to a star on the PGA Tour in space of a year. The left-hander won the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in 2023 and was a teammate of Clark at the Ryder Cup in Rome. A native of Georgia Harman knows Augusta well and appearing at his sixth Masters Harman is a completely different prospect to when he played here 12 months ago. He hasn't made the cut since a career best finish of 12th in 2021 however, he has four Top 20 finishes in 9 PGA Tour events this year which includes a runner up finish at The Players Championship in March. A top 10 finish is certainly an attainable target this weekend and we wouldn't be surprised to see him in the running come Sunday.
Tiger Woods - 90/1
World Ranking: 959th
Highest Masters Finish: 1st, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2019
Fancy another fairytale at Augusta, Tiger? The 15-time major winner had a famous victory in 2019 after numerous injuries and surgeries in the years previous. Another surgery in 2020 as well as a major car accident in 2021 has meant that Woods has played sparingly since that win in 2019. However, the 48-year-old can never be wrote off. Woods played a practice round at Augusta on Monday and partner for that day Will Zalatoris, who himself is in with a decent shot at the green jacket, claimed Woods outdrove him on a few occasions. Woods concedes that he's playing through pain but his confidence in his game still shines through as you can see below. We're certainly not ruling out a 6th green jacket.

Shane Lowry - 33/1
World Ranking: 36th
Highest Masters Finish: Tied 3rd 2022
Lowry has been accustomed to this level for some time. The 37-year-old has dealt with heartbreak and success in majors before and his Masters record over the past couple years has been very respectable, finishing 16th last year and 3rd the previous year. The Offaly man had a poor 2023 and dropped to 54th in the world in February his lowest ranking since before his famous victory in Royal Portrush.
However, he has returned to form recording three top 20 finishes in his last 3 PGA Tour events. All this means he has climbed to 36th in the world and with 2 strong showings at Augusta over the past couple years it may prove to be the perfect storm for the Clara native.
Viktor Hovland - 25/1
World Ranking: 6th
Highest Masters Finish: Tied 7th 2023
This is a complete flyer. Hovland's form has cratered in 2024 but last year he was brilliant. The Oslo native was runner up at the PGA Championship with a final round of 68, as well as finishing 7th at Augusta. He then went on to win the Memorial Tournament, the BMW Championship, the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup before appearing in his second successive Ryder Cup in September. His form has been average so far this year but the Norwegian definitely has the ability to go far at Augusta National.
Will Zalatoris - 25/1
World Ranking: 31st
Highest Masters Finish: 2nd 2021
His 2023 season was marred by injury but Zalatoris has played brilliantly here in the past and showed that he has the dog in him when it comes to playing majors.
