Martin O'Neill's history with Tony O'Donoghue is tetchy after victories, so it will come as no surprise that tonight's humiliation against Denmark led to his storming off. Evidently, Tony asked a couple of questions that cut too close to the bone.
O'Neill was in relatively placid form early in the interview, but upon further probing from Tony, he launched a lengthy defence of his Irish reign to date. Thrice he fended off follow-up questions from O'Donoghue - the refrain was always "let me finish" - and then stormed off, leaving O'Donoghue pleading for another question.
