Manuel Pellegrini blamed the referee for Man City's loss to Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League tie. The Man City manager felt that the official was not impartial and did not have control of the game.
The Chilean also thought that it was "not a good idea" to put a referee from Sweden in charge of such an important match. Asked to clarify his comments, Pellegrini said that there was "more important football than Sweden in Europe".
Manuel has obviously been watching too much Jamie Redknapp.
