Bad news folks. Our favourite ever Barnet manager – perhaps the only Barnet manager we've ever known – has resigned.
Edgar Davids has parted company with the club by mutual agreement, according to the Mirror. He took the decision after yesterday's 2-1 defeat to Chester City.
The club said:
'Everybody associated with the club would like to thank Edgar for his contribution during his time here and for his help in putting together the current team structure.
'The club would also like to wish Edgar the very best of luck in what we have no doubt will be the continuation of an illustrious career.'
The player-manager got himself sent off three times in eight appearances for the club this season, including this elbowing incident. We'll miss you, you mad man.
