Earlier this week, the Limerick Ladies Gaelic Football Board confirmed that their County Junior Football Final would throw-in at 9am on Saturday morning.
Despite efforts to facilitate a new time, the match between Gerald Griffins and Groody Gaels was played as scheduled at the early-morning time. Gerald Griffins won the match 4-7 to 3-5, with the full-time whistle being blown before 10.30pm.

According to the Limerick Leader, the final venue of Knockainey was at least 35 minutes from both sides, with Gerald Griffins having to travel an hour to the south Limerick venue.
Despite the early morning start, both teams had no issue finding the back of the net, with seven goals being scored in the match.
