When it rains, it pours.
Following the indefinite suspension of Jon Jones for his arrest over a hit and run incident, the highly anticipated main event of Jones vs Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson was scrapped, and Jones was replaced by Daniel Cormier. Many UFC fans consoled themselves by thinking "Well, at least Cerrone vs Khabib will be great" in an attempt to remain positive over the UFC 187 card, but if you were one of these fans, you may not want to read on.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is out of UFC 187 after a source close to the man from Dagestan revealed to MMAJunkie.com that he has sustained an injury in training, and won't be fighting Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone on May 23rd.
While the severity of the injury has yet to be confirmed, it is believed to be to his knee and serious enough to force a man who makes tweets such as the following pull out of a contest:
Ouch.
The UFC are currently seeking a new opponent for Cerrone, who ironically would definitely offer his services if it was against anyone else.
