There were three negatives for Liverpool tonight. One was Edin Dzeko's goal, the second was Diego Perotti's penalty and the third was Alex Oxlade Chamberlain's injury.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was speaking to TV3 in the aftermath of Liverpool's 5-2 win over Roma and gave an injury update on the England midfielder:
It is probably a really bad injury. If you can say that before the scan, it's never good news.
Klopp's words will be devastating to fans as well as the club, who are already threadbare in midfield following injuries to Adam Lallana and Emre Can.
The German is down to only three fit senior members in midfield in Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and James Milner and he will be praying that none get injured at the weekend when Liverpool take on Stoke at the weekend.
It could be even worse for Oxlade-Chamberlain who would probably have been in Gareth Southgate's squad for Russia, the attacking midfielder having impressed as of late for the Reds after a difficult start to life at Anfield.
