Irish jockey JT McNamara is in a medically induced coma after a fall in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup at Cheltenham. The 37 year old amateur jockey fell at the first fence in the race aboard Galaxy Rock.
Another Irish jockey, Davy Russell, was also taken to hospital today with a punctured lung.
