Irish Times horse racing correspondent Brian O'Connor has wound up MMA fans by penning a piece dripping with wry disdain for the growing phenomenon that is UFC.
O'Connor likes to strike a discordant note to the general consensus - see his Henry piece just three days after the infamous night - and he does not appear to be much enamoured of MMA.
He described it as a spectacle perfectly designed to appeal to 'adolescent minds' replete with ' muscles, bad clothes, and bad acting' and attended by a crowd comprised of 'beery blokes blissfully aware of how camp the whole thing is.'
It's fair to say that the comments below the line are entirely in agreement with Brian.
