The 2024 Guinness Women's Six Nations kicks off this weekend as Ireland take on France on Saturday. Here is everything you need to know about Ireland v France.
Ireland are heading into this year's Six Nations on a positive note after achieving their WXV3 competition win last year, after a harrowing defeat in the 2023 Six Nations which saw them finish the competition at the foot of the table. The Ireland side will be eager to make an impact and improve on last year's performance from the beginning of this year's championship. New head coach Scott Bemand will enter his first Six Nations coaching the squad, after taking over the reins in July.
France last won the Six Nations title in 2018, and will be aiming to win back their title in this year's competition after narrowly losing to England in the final. The team narrowed a 33-0 lead to lose by just 5 points to England in Twickenham last year. Along with England, France have already qualified for the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup.
