Head coach Scott Bemand has announced his Ireland squad for the 2024 Guinness Women's Six Nations, which kicks off on March 23rd.
Several members of the Sevens squad who won gold at the HSBC SVNS in Perth in January were named as part of Bemand's squad- including Béibhinn Parsons, Eve Higgins and Aoibheann Reilly.
Eight uncapped players were also included in the Guinness Women's Six Nations squad.
Bemand, who led the team to WXV3 success in October last year, has also named forwards Sam Monaghan and Edel McMahon as co-captains for the Six Nations, continuing their previous roles from last year.

Commenting on the announcement of the squad, Bemand stated:
We are excited for this group of players who will represent Ireland in the upcoming Guinness Women’s Six Nations. The WXV3 and the Celtic Challenge preparation has been vital for our development and expanding our player pool. On the back of the success of the Women’s Sevens side, we are chasing potential through this group of players and we are all looking to perform in a high quality competition. With three home games in Ireland, we are looking forward to connecting with the fan base and playing in front of home crowds in Dublin, Cork and Belfast and would urge everyone to get behind the team and show their support for the Women’s team”
The coaching and management team has also been confirmed alongside the squad announcement, with John McKee taking up role as Senior Coach, along with Declan Danaher taking position as defence coach.
The Ireland team will open their Six Nations campaign against France at Stade-Marie-Marvingt on Saturday, March 23 with kick-off 3.15pm, Irish time live on RTÉ.
