Sometimes the excuses sports stars roll out when they lose can be more entertaining than the spectacle itself. Sir Alex gained respect from most quarters when he blamed a defeat against Southampton on the jerseys his team were wearing and how his team couldn't see each other in the dishwater grey umbro had kitted out Scholes and Co in.

Fast forward to today, May 2010.

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson went into Saturday night's duel against Rashad Evan as the underdog and the odds were right on as he lost the fight on a unanimous verdict. The only interesting point of the night was that Rampage blamed his defeat, not on his poor tactics or power but the fact that he had spent too much time filming the new A-Team movie in which he plays Mr-T.

I kind of almost regret doing the damn movie now,” said Jackson. “There was so much pressure. (20th Century) Fox kind of threatened to sue me if I lost and everything because they didn’t know I was fighting. “I’m a fighter, but I tried to go into a whole new adventure and didn’t even know anything about tours and stuff in a movie. I had no idea I had to do this,” said Jackson.

It's not the first time Jackson has had something to say about his time playing B.A-

"Acting is kind of gay," Jackson said. "It makes you soft. You got all these people combing your hair and putting a coat over your shoulders when you're cold. I don't want a coat over my shoulders! I'm a tough-ass [individual]

I wonder how well Liam Neeson and Rampage get on and whether they are still so close -
