I don't know if we'll get ever an actual NFL game in Croker with Dan Rooney's run as US ambassador to Ireland nearly up, but American fotoball fans in Ireland can content themselves with the next best thing. According to the folks who run NFL-Ireland.com, the Lingerie Football League - which is currently on a sort of sabbatical - is considering European expansion and Dublin is being hotly considered for a possible franchise in a European league planned for 2014 that would also include teams in Barcelona, Frankfurt, Rhein and Manchester. Lingerie Football is essentially the merging of strip clubs and sport (as the photos below show). The games are played indoors, so they'd probably have to play at the Point. It all sounds unlikely to me, but as ever, watch this space.
