Neil Taylor's sickening leg-breaking tackle on Seamus Coleman was the central talking point from Ireland vs Wales tonight, but how much of the aggression of that tackle owed to an incident only moments previous, when Gareth Bale nearly left John O'Shea in need of leg surgery.
This is for all the morons trying to tell me that Bale went for the ball.Cowardly. O'Shea can count his lucky stars. https://t.co/JtPx83cFAq

Gareth Bale should have been off. His tackle on O'Shea, seconds before Taylor breaks Coleman's leg is terrible. Two awful challenges

Good man ref. If you sent off Bale for studs up you might have protected Coleman from a possible leg breaker!😡

Bale saw yellow for that tackle. Moments later, Taylor was off and Coleman's leg was broken. After the game, however, Bale has basically blamed O'Shea and said that he plans to appeal the booking.
