Every week, Frankie Lally gives you the tips you need to make the right picks when you do your NFL betting.
Last Week, Frankie Got Screwed By: The Chicago Bears defence
The Bears had to pull one out of the bag on Sunday, scoring 16 points in the last seven minutes to beat Carolina 23-22 at Solder Field.
Their usual rock-solid defence was nowhere to be seen and incredibly they only managed to hold the ball for 23 minutes and never looked like the eight-point favourites they were going into the game.
Frankie’s Lock Of The Week: Indianapolis +2.5 v Miami @ 10/11 (Paddy Power)
Indianapolis bagged a 19-13 overtime win over the Tennessee Titans last weekend, the team's FIRST away win since the 2010 season and I reckon that might really get them going.
I wouldn't read too much into Miami's 30-9 win over the Jets last week simply because the Jets are THAT bad.
The Colts will have too much for the Dolphins and Donald Brown’s return to the backfield is a massive plus for Indianapolis. Bank on them to cover the spread.
Frankie’s Underdog of the Week: Dallas Cowboys @ 9/5 (Pinnacle)
Dallas will need a lot of luck when they come up against the Falcons on Sunday night and while I wouldn't go nuts, I think they may just sneak an upset here.
Quarterback Tony Romo is under pressure after throwing four of his league-leading 13 interceptions in last week’s 29-24 loss to the New York Giants, but at the same time, he almost led the Cowboys to a dramatic victory and he could spring a surprise here.
Frankie’s Team to Avoid: Cleveland Browns @13/8 (General)
At a price of 13/8 I wouldn't back the Browns against the Baltimore Ravens if you gave me free money to do it with.
True, they usually keep their games close as last weekend's 7-6 win over San Diego demonstrates, but playing against a very talented team who have had two weeks to prepare, I don't fancy their chances.
In fact, the Ravens will blow the Browns apart. Steer clear.
