Dundalk beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 1-0 in Tallaght Stadium. It is the first time an Irish club has won a game in the group phase of a European competition.
Ciaran Kilduff side-footed home Daryl Horgan's dinked cross on 72 minutes to give Dundalk a historic win. Most observers would have expected them to have succumbed to vertigo at this point but they keep on going, keep on claiming results. How far they can go now?
The reaction ranged from simple expressions of pride, admiration for Daryl Horgan's creativity (Martin O'Neill was in the crowd), praise for the great Stephen Kenny, and wonderment at the money that Dundalk have coming their way after tonight.
The win, as many of you know by now, is worth the same as John Delaney's annual salary. The kind of sum many of us can only dream of.
Simply incredible from Dundalk. The pride of Ireland. What a story.

That'll be €1.6m Dundalk made in three hours football (€1.3m fee, €300,000 points) or similar to winning every domestic league until 2031.
