Joe Sheridan - the scourge of Louth and darling of Meath could be set for a sensational inter-county comeback after Meath boss Andy McEntee named him in his extended panel.
Sheridan was one of the top forwards in the country before he was dropped from the Meath panel by Mick O'Dowd in the great cull of 2013 that also involved Brian Farrell, Peadar Byrne and Caoimhin King. But now it seems he has a chance to make a return and interestingly, a report in today's Independent suggests he will make his return as a goalkeeper.
The football Gods demand that he be involved in a controversial goal in a Leinster final.
