TKO through punches. In four of his five UFC bouts that's how Conor McGregor finished off his opponents. Max Holloway was the only man to go the distance with McGregor in the UFC and only then you have to think the Dubliner's torn anterior cruciate ligament may have played a part in that.

So, we know McGregor can dominate his opponents when it comes to striking. However, he wants to add some other strings to his bow. One string in particular.

Speaking to Esquire as part of a highly entertaining feature in this month's edition, McGregor has revealed the one move that he would love to be able to perfect. The rear naked choke hold.

It's the most dominant submission. You can do nothing to me, but I can do whatever the fuck I want to you. I have complete control.

The writer of the article, Chris Jones, was unfortunate enough to be McGregor's dummy and he explains what goes into the move.

You feel his weight lean into you, 170 pounds walking around—he can cut more than 20 pounds in the week before weigh-ins—his pectorals fitting into the tops of your shoulders like puzzle pieces.

McGregor's legs hook around your waist, anchored in place by his huge ass. The sole of his left foot presses against the point of your hip; the heel of his right foot digs into your groin. Almost by instinct, your hands find that leg and try to remove it, but legs beat arms almost every time, the way arms beat necks.

His right arm wraps around your throat, his thickly veined forearm locked under your chin. His left arm crosses over his right wrist and tucks behind your head. And then he begins to pull back his right arm while he pushes forward with his left.

Given that McGregor's two defeat have been as a result of submission, it's easy to see why he wants to ensure he has that in his arsenal as well. The last defeat, to Joesph Duffy, came after he tapped from a choke. His response to that, says a lot about the fighter he is now.

That ate me alive,, After that, I said I was going to fight to the death. You're going to have to kill me.
