A couple of weeks ago, Dana White found himself at the centre of a miniature storm when he said/joked that Ireland and the UK were 'the same thing'. White isn't exactly a shrinking violet so he stood up and rode out the storm without any trouble.
And it seems that incident hasn't damaged White's enthusiasm for getting some playful digs in at Conor McGregor. The UFC chief was speaking as part of a rather excellent feature on McGregor in this month's Esquire and he's glowing in his praise of the Dubliner.
One of the more light-hearted nuggets of information from the article is the comparison that White has drawn for McGregor given his unique fighting style.
The author, Chris Jones, explains to the uninitiated that McGregor's fighting style seems to give him an unexplainable advantage over his opponents.
McGregor, who is also extremely Irish, has an upright stance when he fights, a style that is both entrancing to watch and almost comically traditionalist.
That description is then summed up by Dana White thusly;
He looks exactly like the Notre Dame logo.
In case you can't picture that, here's the little scamp in question.
