UFC featherweight Cole Miller has a pretty comprehensive interview with MMAmania today where he gives his thoughts on many subjects ahead of his fight against Max Holloway.
Miller was scheduled to meet Conor McGregor in July and expanded on his opinion of him, when asked if criticism of McGregor was justified in the wake of the Irishman's destruction of Dennis Siver, Miller said:
I think the UFC is protecting their investment. I think that if they’re going to put him in matches that make sense. That doesn’t mean protecting him from fighter who are ranked like Dustin and Dennis. I don’t think they really want him to fight a guy like Chad Mendes or Frankie Edgar.
Miller did praise McGregor for his impressive performance against Siver noting he wasn't surprised by the outcome of their fight and confirmed he still wants to fight McGregor at some point in the future.
