Real Madrid have become the first team in over 20 years to retain the UEFA Super Cup, after a 2-1 win over Manchester United in Macedonia.
The Champions League holders led 2-0 at one stage, but the lead could have been greater only for the woodwork and David de Gea to save Manchester United on numerous occasions.
Casemiro gave Zinedine Zidane's side the lead, but it was Isco's goal that proved to be the winner. The Spanish international combined with Gareth Bale to scoring the decisive goal.
Romelu Lukaku scored for United on his competitive debut for the club, but Jose Mourinho's side could not find the crucial equaliser to send the game to extra-time.
It's the third time in a row United have lost the match, having lost in 1999 and 2007. For Real Madrid, they are the fourth Spanish winners in a row. Eight of the last nine Super Cup champions have come from La Liga.
Next year's Super Cup takes place in Tallinn, Estonia. You wouldn't bet on a Spanish not winning again next August.
