Jockey Tony McCoy could win his 4,000th race today, after two wins at Kempton yesterday moved him two wins away from that landmark figure. But here's a great photo of a young McCoy meeting trainer Jim Bolger back at the very beginning of his career.
McCoy won his first race on 26 March 1992 at Thurles aged 17, riding the Jim Bolger trained 'Legal Steps'.
"I must've known he was good coz I got my picture taken with him" great quote from Bolger after APs 1st win pic.twitter.com/X9Rr4BdsZ8
