Bill Iffrig was the subject of one of the most prominent photographs taken in the aftermath of the Boston marathon bombings. He was pictured laying on the ground moments after the explosions, surrounded by three policemen.
He was just 15 feet from completing the marathon when the bombs went off though would later manage to cross to finishing line. It was his third Boston marathon.
ESPN later interviewed Iffrig, who when asked if he would run the Boston marathon again, replied "I don't know about that, it's going to take a while to forget this one."
