Besart Berisha is an Albanian international who plays for Brisbane Roar in the A-League. His side drew 1-1 with Sydney FC today, but he didn't last the first half.
After putting in a two-footed lunge on Seb Ryall, the understandably irate Sydney player pushed Berisha, who used it as an excuse to play the victim and wriggle around on the ground.
After consulting with his assistant, the referee booked Ryall for the retaliation, but Berisha's antics weren't enough to prevent being sent off.
The commentators weren't to impressed by the decsion, with one suggesting that the referee go and "hang his head in shame". In fairness to Berisha, the tackle all but misses Ryall, and the Albanian left the field with a cut on his nose, but going airborne to make a challenge rarely results in anything but red these days - even in the land of Kevin Muscat.
