One of San Francisco's most feared criminals 'The Riddler' (Paul Williams had nothing to do with naming him) is finally behind bars after a dramatic sequence of events last Friday.

The old city hasn't seen many more tumultuous days in it's time. A woman was taken hostage, attached to homemade explosives and tied to cable car tracks near the Grand Hyatt in central San Francisco. The woman has, so far, gone unnamed by the world's media, put has been called, in a somewhat quaint construction, as a damsel in distress.
The city's cops were at a loss as to what to do. Police chief Greg Suhr, who to be fair, looked completely out of his depth throughout the entire day, did what most observers were calling upon him to do and got on the blower to Batkid.
Despite only recently entering remission after suffering from luekemia, Batkid showed both astonishing resolve and his customary composure in answering the panicky Police Chief's call. Batkid, arrived at the Grand Hyatt, without haste. As Batkid fumbled with the ropes binding the stricken damsel, the tension in the crowd was such that many remained frozen to the spot in horror. As the damsel walked free, and it became apparent the explosives had not detonated, the relief was extraordinary.
Batkid was nonchalant as ever, and with barely a moment to celebrate his efforts, he was summoned to Union Square where the Riddler was making an audacious attempt to rob a bank vault. Batkid moved through their anxious throng of his supporters (as well as the Occupy Wall Street supporters who were supporting the Riddler in his endeavors) on his way to a showdown with the Riddler. To outsiders, the tussle between Batkid and the Riddler looked like it would be one way traffic. The Riddler, after all, was a grown man, Batkid, a boy of 5. But those who knew Batkid, knew better. He incapacitated the Riddler, without starting slowly in the fight or at any stage looking like he was beaten, in the way the Batman is often prone to do.
Within minutes, the Riddler was hauled away by the San Francisco Police Department. He was taken to San Francisco High Court where he was confronted by presiding Judge Lance Ito. It is understood he will be represented foor some reason by Paul O Higgins SC.
President Obama tweeted a tribute. As of now, the Republicans on Capitol Hill have not issued any congratulations.

The Gotham City Chronicle (sadly a freesheet these days) ran with the sensational, but on this occasion apt, 'BATKID SAVES CITY.'

Batkid is funded by the Make A Wish foundation these days. There are growing calls for Batkid to be included in the next Batman blockbuster. There are even calls for him to replace the jaded, over-the-hill Batman in the next film.
Please checkout and sign this petition to have a cameo for Batkid in the Batman vs Superman Movie http://t.co/818cOVH4Ro #batkidbegins
