Great news for all rockers and runners in Ireland. The Rock’n’Roll Dublin Marathon Series will be making a triumphant return to the streets of Dublin this summer, and Balls.ie will be simultaneously unleashing both our inner Ronnie Delaney and inner Phil Lynott on Sunday 7 August.
This year's Rock’n’Roll Dublin Marathon Series includes both a half-marathon and 10k race. The 2016 race is especially historic because it will provide you with the unique opportunity to beat the staff of Balls.ie in a long distance race. But it won't be easy. We are aiming to win this race and this summer, we will be sending our fittest writers to an elevation training camp in the Comeragh mountains with the great Jerry Kiernan. Best, or worst of all, we're going to let our readers decide what band we'll dress up as. It could be KISS, it could be the Beatles, it could be Foster & Allen. We're brave enough to put it to a poll
The Rock'n'Roll Marathon Series, as you’ll know, is not just about pounding the pavement through historic Dublin. It’s a race that celebrates rock fashion as well as running ability. There’ll be a special Rock N’ Roll Idol competition to celebrate the best dressed runner that will include one awesome prize: a trip to Las Vegas.
Get fit, have fun, rock out, sign up for the Rock’n’Roll Dublin Marathon Series. Follow our training progress on Balls in the coming months and, if you’re born to run, let us know how you’ll be dressed for the Rock N’ Roll Marathon.
You’ll find information on registering here.
