'Unbreakable: The Mark Pollock Story', an upcoming feature length documentary is coming to big screens around the country.
From the same town as one Rory McIlroy, Pollock lost his sight at the age of 22 while still studying at Trinity College.
However, he went on to win Commonwealth games in rowing and became the first Irishman to race to the South Pole. He was lauded as a motivational speaker.
However, during 2010, he suffered a fall and was paralysed from the waist down. He very nearly died from the fall and battled against life-threatening infections for months afterwards.
Unbreakable opens at the Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield on 3 October. It can also be caught at venues such as Cork, Waterford, Belfast, Killarney, Bray, Naas, Thurles, Birr, Drogheda, Galway, Portlaoise, Kilkenny and Athlone
