The shocking nature of Conor McGregor's featherweight title win is lot on no one, especially not the champion himself. After his victory over Jose Aldo, after the MGM Grand had cleared out, McGregor spoke on Fox Sports about the crazy week he had just experienced and the role that Irish supporters played in his victory.
Gone was the weird robot voice he put on during the pre-match press event and here was a chilled-out, humbled, shirtless champion speaking from the heart about winning the belt and the power of Irish support.
"...The parties that have been going on all week. I've been watching videos and seeing all the posters and flags. It's humbling for me for my people to come here and support me and I'm very grateful."
