It was an emotional night for all involved with Chapecoense in the Nou Camp, not least their defender Alan Ruschel.
Ruschel was only one of six survivors from the plane crash that resulted in the loss of 19 Chapecoense players last November in Colombia.
The 27-year-old had yet to play for the team since the crash, before he made he captained the side in a friendly against Barcelona on Monday night.
In what was one of the most touching moments in football in recent times, Ruschel was given a standing ovation by the Barcelona players and all those in attendance at the Nou Camp when he was substituted on 36 minutes.
The Brazilian side were trailing 3-0 at half-time, but Chapecoense are the real winners of the night. The team may be very different to the one of last November, but the club remains as thriving as it was before the tragedy.

When you see Ruschel return to the field, after all he has gone though in recent months with what was a painful emotional and physical recovery, it shows the power of sport.
