It's a tough job monitoring the twitter 'bantz' of leading Gaelic football personalities but someone has to man that post.
Last year, in association with Carr Communications (well, not quite, we did it on our own) we drew up guidelines aimed at helping GAA players remain out of trouble on social media.
Those guidelines did not include an exhortation to avoid rising to Joe Brolly's bait. This is an oversight on our part for which we express our unreserved apologies.
Starry Boy decided to include @JoeBrolly1993 in a tweet about his upcoming Northern expeditions.
He forgot that Brolly will never tire of reminding Kerry players from that era that they failed to beat Tyrone in a big championship match.
@carbery_joe will be up in Benny Coulter s bar in Newry and Omagh in Dec. That's the best I can do unless @JoeBrolly1993 invites me up

@starryboy14 @carbery_joe come up to @owen_mulligan 's bar it'll be jammed. I'll buy a book & explain why Kerry couldn't beat Tyrone

Unwisely, Donaghy offered up the 2012 qualifier in Killarney as proof that Kerry did finally get the better of that Tyrone side.
Brolly's reply was a tap-in.
@JoeBrolly1993 @owen_mulligan don't start your shit now boy. 03 they ambushed us,05 they were better, 08 we were very unlucky 2012 Kerry won

@starryboy14 @owen_mulligan I forgot that time you beat them when they'd all retired & were in Division 2. How did you fare out that year?
— Joe Brolly (@JoeBrolly1993) October 18, 2016
@JoeBrolly1993 @owen_mulligan lost to the all Ireland champs Joe, as every team that beats us in all my years win the cup bar one, down 2010
