Patrick Reed Hurling

Just a month after Rory McIlroy confirmed that talented US golfer Patrick Reed will be coming to Ireland to participate in the Irish Open this month, Reed has taken to Irish culture and demonstrated some hurling ability.

Granted, it wasn't with a hurl or a sliotar, and it may have been during a round of golf - but when you see the evidence you'll be wondering why he hasn't been called up to the New York panel yet.

Reed was reacting to a missed putt in his match with Danny Willett during the WGC matchplay tournament. Already one down, Reed missed this simple putt, and then channelled his inner Shefflin by swiping the golf ball over the bar.

Clearly Reed is a fan of taking the points and allowing the goals to come.

We wonder if Rory will get a sliotar into his hands when he comes to Ireland later this month? It's not the first time that Reed has reacted after a putt, and in fact is making quite a name for himself for some of his passionate reactions.
