If, and it's a major 'if', Conor McGregor was to beat Jose Aldo on July 11th then Dana White has admitted his and the UFC's desire to see the Dubliner's first title defence held at Croke Park.
In an interview with Setanta, the UFC president declared:
If this kid wins that title, we want his first defence to be in Croke Park.
The promotion holding a major card at GAA headquarters has been mooted for quite a while now. However, red tape associated with such an event being staged there has apparently prevented the UFC from doing so.
White also spoke about that whole Ireland/UK mixup (he's sticking to the 'it was a joke' story), building a rehab facility in Las Vegas, PEDs and Joseph Duffy.
