Last week, following Anderson Silva's victory over Nick Diaz at UFC 183, it emerged that he had tested positive performance enhancing substances in an out of competition drugs test performed on January 9th.
The Brazilian was found to have both drostanolone and androstane in his system. Both are types of steroid.
A second out of competition test done of January 19th has come back clean for PEDs. So it seems to substances found in the initial test had left his body ten days later.
Silva has been temporarily suspended and as a result the Nevada State Athletic Commission have asked that the UFC remove him as a coach the new series of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil which shoots in Las Vegas.
It was reported last week that Silva had a payment witheld by the UFC but the organisation has since denied this.
