Bart vs Lisa in pee-wee hockey
What an absolutely amazing episode.
Bart and Lisa join rival pee-wee hockey teams after Apu discovers Lisa's goalkeeping talent, and all our war commences in Springfield. Countless moments of genius comedic writing are on display, such as the "I'm going to kick my legs like this, if you happen to walk into them, it's your fault" fight, Chief Wiggum letting the prisoners out to watch the big game, Snake's longing for a childhood with Pee Wee Hockey, we could go on, just watch this brilliant clip from one of the great episodes:
Homer is gifted ownership of the Denver Broncos
"You just don't understand football, Marge."
Soccer comes to Springfield
The Simpsons' writers absolutely nail the American perception of Soccer at the turn of the century. "This match will determine which nation is the greatest on Earth, Mexico... Or Portugal!"
Dancin' Homer
Another incredible episode here as Homer becomes the mascot of the Capitol City baseball franchise. "And for God's sake put some pants on!"
Anton Lubchenko wins it for Springfield U
The age old rivalry of Springfield U vs Springfield A&M reached boiling point ahead of the annual football game, and imported Russian kicker Anton Lubchenko sacrificed his leg for the cause.
Homer nearly becomes heavyweight champion of the world
An all time classic episode where Homer climbs the world heavyweight boxing rankings by letting people tire themselves out by punching him culminates in a title fight with the champ, Drederick Tatum. Moe air lifting Homer out of the building will has gone down as one of the best ever Simpsons moments.
Crashing the Super Bowl
Homer and his friends think they are on to a winner when they get a deal on a bus to Miami and Super Bowl tickets, only they don't actually have Super Bowl tickets. "Go home Rudy!"
"You're cut."
When Homer takes charge of Bart's football team, he goes on a power trip of ruthlessly cutting all the kids he doesn't rate, it's incredibly satisfying and one of the most regularly quoted parts of the show.
Man Getting Hit By Football
"Barney's movie had heart, but Football In The Groin had a football in the groin."
Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge
When Bart is so desperate to play Bonestorm II that he attempts to shop-lift it, Marge is worried. After Bart redeems himself to her, Marge presents him with "the game that every boy wants this Christmas", AND it now comes with a free scoring pencil. Amazing episode.
Gym? What's a gym?
Another moment from one of the all-time great episodes here where Homer climbs the Murderhorn. But before that, while out at night trying to get fit, Homer finds a strange building.
Absolutely every second of the 'Softball' episode
For many, this episode is THE best of all time. The Softball episode where Mr.Burns hires professional baseball players to play on the nuclear power plant's softball team is absolutely packed with amazing moments, from "I pick... Wendell... I pick... Jose Canseco!" to "Mattingly, what did I tell you about those sideburns!" to the Wonder Bat to "Daaaaaaaaaaaryl... Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaryl", we couldn't pick just one, so here is the fantastic and incredibly memorable song from the end of the episode that nicely sums everything up.
