It was a close call for a marshal in the Singapore Grand Prix today after the race was restarted with him still cleaning debris from the track following a crash.
The potentially tragic incident stemmed from a crash between Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz which left debris littered across the track and forced officials to deploy the safety car and send the field into the pit lane so as to avoid any damage to their cars.
While marshals worked to clear the course, the race was restarted (prematurely as it turned out to be) after just three laps with the safety car and one unfortunate fellow looked up to see race leader Nico Rosberg racing towards him at top speed and was forced to scramble to safety.

It is highly likely that an investigation will be launched as to how the race was restarted before the track had been cleared of marshals. One thing we're sure of though; the FIA will be asking some serious questions or race director Charlie Whiting.
