Veteran F1 fans would have watched the late Eddie Jordan entertain the millions with ex-race winner David Coulthard and then BBC presenter Jake Humphrey by his side.
The trio made for one of the best on TV, bringing a more personable and entertaining form of F1 broadcasting to screens all over Ireland when the BBC had exclusive rights before Sky Sports swooped in back in 2012.
Legendary Irish F1 team boss Jordan - whose passing aged 76 was confirmed on Thursday - had a tremendous chemistry with both men from when the broadcaster took over from ITV in 2009.
The next few years made for the best F1 coverage in memory, Humphrey's casual approach marrying well with the in-deep analysis and humour brought in by both Jordan and DC.
There were plenty of iconic moments, most notably Jordan dragging Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali by the arm to land a seemingly impossible interview in the aftermatch of the 2010 Hockenheim Team Orders scandal.
Humphrey - whose rise to prominence as a sports broadcaster came in F1 - paid a heartfelt tribute to Jordan on Twitter when news of the Dubliner's passing emerged.
Utterly devastated.
EJ has left us.
Formula One won’t see the likes of Eddie ever again where a guy with a love for racing can hustle his way into the sport and end up winning races.
More important than race wins though, he won hearts. I will never forget how his face would… pic.twitter.com/GarukuYLDS

Humphrey would leave the BBC at the end of the 2012 season in order to front up the newly launched BT Sport's Premier League coverage, thus breaking up the 'three amigos'.
However, the trio would remain friends with EJ and DC forming a podcast under the title Formula For Success, produced by a company founded by Humphrey.
Jake Humphrey's tearful Eddie Jordan tribute
Humphrey spoke on air with BBC 5 Live when he broke down into tears when discussing what Jordan meant to him, sharing an emotional text he recently sent the Irish motosport legend.
He won races, which was remarkable, but more important than that, he won hearts,' Humphrey said. '
"I remember when I left F1, a lot of people questioned why I left the BBC to join BT Sport, and I'll never forget he pulled me to one side and said, 'I know why you're doing this, you want to be with your kids'.
"My wife was pregnant at the time, and I said, "You're absolutely right". He was the only person in F1 that knew I was walking away to be with my family.'
"I recently went to an F1 race and I text him after saying, 'The sound, the smell, and the heat today' - I was in Austin, 'Reminded me of our days together travelling the world. I love you brother.
"'Those were the greatest four years of my career and the impact you had on me was massive. My ambition and drive came from seeing what you did and how you did it.
"'Most importantly you were the person who made me truly realise that it's family first every time. F1 is full of lost souls, but the way Marie and the kids were always with you was as special as it is rare.'"
'Those were the greatest four years of my career'.

A testament to the character of Jordan, that is for sure.
